QUALITY / AN EVIDENCE-LED CONVERSATION
Make the specification explicit.
A material name is not a specification. We start with your acceptance criteria and agree what evidence is needed before a trial or supply commitment.
The buyer’s checklist.
| Area | What to establish |
|---|---|
| Origin & identity | Feedstock, source, sample identification and batch traceability. |
| Particle size | Size range, distribution, allowable fines and test method. |
| Proximate analysis | Moisture, ash, volatile matter and fixed carbon, including reporting basis. |
| Application chemistry | Relevant elements and contaminants, with buyer-defined limits. |
| Physical performance | Density, strength, reactivity or other process-specific criteria. |
| Supply conditions | Quantity, packaging, dispatch location, lead time and agreed acceptance terms. |
Typical values ≠ batch results ≠ guaranteed limits. Any technical information shared should identify which it represents, the test method and whether results are on an as-received, dry or other stated basis.
We do not publish placeholder test numbers or certification marks. Ask what current documentation is available for the material under discussion.
A useful qualification sequence.
- Share application, target specification and indicative demand.
- Discuss material and sample availability with Carbonify.
- Agree tests, sample identity and trial acceptance criteria.
- Review results and complete the buyer’s application evaluation.
- Confirm any supply specification and commercial terms in writing.
What this site does not claim.
No universal industrial grade, guaranteed surface area, certified emissions reduction or third-party industrial approval is implied.
We do not publish proprietary production parameters or buyer information. Confidential technical discussions can be arranged separately.
Discuss appropriate safety documentation, dust control, storage and handling requirements before receiving or using a sample.
